We liked the locations between two beaches (Amadores and Puerto Rico)on a hill. The centre is accessible by taxi (3 euros)or by foot (20 min.)- we recommend only the way down. The staff was friendly.Supermarket at the hotel- open even late. Nice swimming pool also for children and a small payground.
The room cleaning is rather superficial-the dirt under the bed, comwebs etc.The smell of the room was not very nice. It is not suitable for allergic people.

Great location, not far from the beautiful Amadores beach, a bit uphill but if one have car it's not a big trouble, in general comfy apartments with not so comfortable beds

The Blue Star is very welcoming and friendly. The food in the restaurant and pool bar is very good and the staff excellant. The hotel is kept very clean. Overall a very good budget hotel set in a beautiful hilltop location with easy access top lively areas if required.
The transfer to the hotel took too long ie. 2hours for the 40 min journey

Even though the complex was old it was kept clean.
Asked for extra blankets and was told they had none left. The flat was booked for 5 persons and had a big lack of cooking facilities, I asked for more bowls for breakfast as there was only one in the place and was told I could only have two more. I felt I paid too much for what I got, If I paid half the price for the one bedroom I would of been happy.

The apartments were very basic and in need of refurbishment. We had old lumpy pillows and although I asked three times for them to be replaced, they never were. This accomodation, although very reasonably priced is very basic and in need of refurbishment.
- Tired - In need to maintenance and refurbishment.

The apartments had a lovely view over the sea if you happened to get a room with a view which we did get. There were plenty of clean towels every day and plenty of hot water. People need to be aware that these apartments are quiet a distance from the beach and the centre of the resort but the walk down hill is not too bad and taxis are very cheap.
stayed at the Blue Star from 14/2/12 to 22/2/12. The apartment was quiet large which was good but the beds in in were old and dingy. They were covered with a plastic sheet which might be used for babies and were most uncomfortable. The taps in the kitchen leaked all the time which was most annoying, you were unable to turn on cold water in the bath which ment you were unable to take a bath. The shower head also left a lot to be desired. The front door of our apartment was very difficult to close and required endless banging to do so. The shop in rhe apartment was out of fresh bread or rolls at 10am in the morning and more would not be available until later. This was most annoying as it was quiet a distance to another shop and we felt it should have catered better for its quests in this regard. The front office staff were ok but only just and we did not feel they were very approachable.

Not expensive for what it offers. It's a pity the south coast is plastered with apartments and hotels everywhere.
They think loud disco music at the swimming pool will attract people; it's just the opposite (for older people)

I liked the view over the ocean, the very wide balcony with a lot of privacy and a beautiful view and the kindness and helpfulnes of the staff.
I didn't lke the small and very steep parkingspace. I missed a cupboard in the kitchen for food and more shelfs in the wardrobe.
